On-Campus – Master Of Engineering (Electrical Systems)

The Master of Engineering (Electrical Systems) is an advanced electrical engineering program designed for students who wish to gain knowledge of the principles and applications of electrical engineering at the graduate level. This program is typically offered on-campus and is aimed at students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. The course is typically taught face-to-face on campus. Through this format, students are involved in group projects, participate in discussions, and have access to school facilities and resources.

Topic Covered:

  • Electrical Power Systems
  • Renewable Energy Systems
  • Control Systems
  • Electrical Machines and Drives
  • Power Electronics
  • Digital Signal Processing
  • Power System Stability
  • Electrical System Design
  • Research Methods

Course Benefits:

  • Get a deep understanding of electrical systems engineering, including design, analysis, and control.
  • Develop leadership skills and provide them with knowledge and skills they need to succeed in electrical engineering.
  • Gain a strong academic foundation in electrical systems engineering that can be applied to a wide range of engineering-related careers.
  • Obtain a degree in electrical systems engineering or a related field to prepare for further graduate studies.
  • The opportunity to develop problem-solving skills through hands-on projects, case studies, and other exercises.

Renewable energy sources such as wind and solar will be discussed as well as their influence on classic power issues. Moreover, you will learn how energy storage can be used in microgrids or at a larger utility scale. As you apply smart meters to smart grids, you will gain an understanding of how artificial intelligence and machine learning are being used to drive smart grids. It provides a detailed overview of the skills required for effective management of power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
